0Hyundai voted as the most trusted automotive brand
According to a study conducted by Experian Automotive in North America, a data service that monitors vehicle registration data and consumer attitudes Hyundai took the No. 1 position with a loyalty rate of 49.6% and Ford has improved tremendously with six of the top spots in the top 10 product categories. It’s the first time for Hyundai to top the list, surpassing GM, Ford and Toyota. Loyalty in this study relies on the repurchase rate of its owners. The past year was good for Hyundai in terms of sales. In the second quarter of 2011, Hyundai’s brand market share increased to 9.2%. This is a marked increase from 7.9% last year. Looks like its commitment to a 5 year warranty, good product lineup, improved styling and good build quality has paid off for Hyundai.
General Motors came in at No. 2, with a 48.1% loyalty rate. Ford is ranked third with 47.6%. In studying loyalty for specific products, the Ford Fiesta and Fusion came to occupy two of six Ford vehicles in the Top 10.
