TomTom Via: Smart navigation for daily drivers!

TomTom last Friday launched their new GPS range to the Malaysian market. The Via series combines attractive design and an easy-to-use interface with cutting-edge technology. This stylish new addition to the TomTom portfolio comes complete with maps of 7 Southeast Asia countries for seamless navigation across the region. Available in Malaysia for the first time, the sophisticated Via range also features the best of TomTom’s navigation heritage, a year’s worth of bonus maps, Spoken Street Names and a multitude of other navigation smarts. Premium models in the TomTom Via range (Via 260 and 280) deliver Bluetooth hands-free calling, making this in-demand GPS feature accessible to more Malaysian drivers. The new devices showcase TomTom’s best-in-class technology including a convenient fold-away mount that’s integrated with the device, as well as a flip screen for easy use of the device on the dash or windscreen. All models in the series sport a brand new design with brushed aluminium casing and a diamond-cut screen bezel edge.

The TomTom Via models give drivers a bigger and better view of a planned route thanks to a superb 4.3” screen (Via 220 and 260) or a huge 5” widescreen (Via 280). The units also feature TomTom’s Advanced Lane Guidance, which helps drivers safely navigate busy intersections by offering photo-realistic images of upcoming junctions. The TomTom Via series also offers TomTom’s Latest Map Guarantee, meaning if a newer map becomes available within 90 days of using the device, drivers can download it for free and always start with the latest map. Excitingly for this launch all TomTom units feature a bonus 12-month Map Update Service giving users four bonus maps free-of-charge in the first year of driving. Offering outstanding regional coverage, the Via range also comes complete with pre-installed maps of Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Macau.
