Alfa Romeo 4C is ‘compact supercar’ that epitomizes the real essence of a sports car, portraying the brand’s values like its Italian style, performance, and technical excellence, total safety, and optimum driving satisfaction. Alfa Romeo designed the mid-engined rear-wheel drive coupé and it was produced in the Maserati plant in Modena. It comes with 2 bucket seats. It will go on sale in 2013. It’s the first car to signify the comeback of the Italian brand to the U.S. and it also launches Alfa Romeo’s global growth plan.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is directly derived from the concept that was unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It features technologies and materials taken from the 8C Competizione like carbon, aluminium, rear-wheel drive. It also makes use of technologies from the newest standard models from Alfa Romeo presently available in the market. But then, the new car has a much improved sports appeal. It is equipped with the new 1750 Turbo Petrol engine with direct injection and aluminium block.

It also gets the advanced “Alfa TCT” twin dry clutch transmission and the Alfa DNA selector with the brand-new Race mode. Its length is about 4 metres and it has a wheelbase of less than 2.4 metres. This means that the car is compact as well as agile. Furthermore, the Alfa Romeo 4C has a weight to power ratio of less than 4 kg/HP, offering the value of a true ‘supercar’. This model offers a distinct driving experience whether on the road or on the race track.
