According to a spokesman from BMW AG, the vehicles can lose the power assistance in braking due to insufficient lubrication to a vacuum pump. The driver, however, can still bring the car to a stop in case of a loss of power braking however he will need to use more force on the brake pedal. BMW is set to send notifications to customers in the next few months. This is a good and responsible move by BMW to address an issue with their cars to keep their owners safe.
