Hyundai Veloster Midship Concept Unvelied at Busan Show

Developed by Hyundai’s high performance team, the Midship mid-engined two-seat Veloster concept has just been unveiled at the Busan International Motor Show in South Korea. The rear-wheel drive Midship concept features a 2.0-litre turbocharged Theta GDI engine that pumps out 220kW. The engine is mounted in the middle of the car behind the front seats, as opposed to the front-engine front-wheel drive layout on all current Veloster models. Much like a supercar, the Veloster concept uses lightweight suspension and a high-rigidity chassis. The mid-engine layout helps to offer better weight distribution and balance during cornering. The idea of the Midship concept is to explore future possibilities for the Veloster chassis that do not currently feature on any of the production models.
