SHELL HELIX’S #CLEANMYENGINE CONTEST REWARDS THREE MOTORISTS
Three lucky motorists experienced a rejuvenating experience for their cars and themselves as Grand Prize winners of Shell Helix’s #cleanmyengine online contest. The three, Faudzina Khamis, K’ng Choo Wei and Noel Kuppan each won a premium auto detailing package worth RM1,500 at Regal Valet in Bangsar, a 3¼ -hour Sultana Hammam spa package worth RM550 at Hammam Bangsar Village and a 4-litre pack of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 with PurePlus Technology worth RM235.
The Shell Helix #cleanmyengine contest, which was held from December 29, 2014 till January 29, 2015, also gave away 10 Consolation Prizes comprising a 4-litre pack of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 with PurePlus Technology worth RM235 and an exclusive PurePlus Technology cube containing actual base oil made from natural gas. For product planner Faudzina Khamis, 42, doing online research on possible reasons for the coarseness of her 12-year old MINI’s engine led her to discover the online contest on Shell Malaysia’s website.
“I have always left the decision on motor oil to my regular workshop. I then decided to learn more about the subject and now understand how a good oil makes a whole lot of difference, especially one that can clean as well as the Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology. The experience has been so rewarding as both my car and I now feel spanking new!” she said.
Winner K’ng, 35, a Penang-based doctor, was represented by his wife, Lee Woei Lin.
“My husband chanced on the contest online and participated as our family are Shell users. I am glad he won as both our family SUV and I were rewarded with a thoroughly pampering spa experience,” said the happy Mrs K’ng.
Self-employed Noel Kuppan, 37, a frequent visitor to the Shell Malaysia website, was impressed with how a sophisticated lubricant could be produced from 100 per cent natural gas and submitted a creative, rhyming slogan. As a result, his trusty, well-used 12-year old Proton Saga Aeroback regained some lustre, especially in the engine compartment and the interior after a 5-hour detailing session.
