Mitsubishi Triton Red Peak Adventure 2015 To Hit Malacca and Johor Bahru
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia will be embarking on its next Mitsubishi Red Peak Adventure 2015 which will see Mitsubishi 4×4 vehicles perform amazing feats on a specially outfitted obstacle truck – the first-of-its-kind in Malaysia.
The Mitsubishi Red Peak Adventure will see the all-new Triton pick-up, the Pajero Sport SUV and the ASX Compact SUV being put through their paces on the purpose-built Mitsubishi truck featuring a wide range of obstacles including a 45-degree, 25-feet tall “sky” ramp that points upwards to the sky – an extreme test for any 4×4 vehicle. The giant ramp will no doubt challenge the capabilities of both man and machine while offering a bird’s eye view of the surroundings.
Other challenges include the roller ramp test that will see the 4×4 vehicles “drive through” the Red Peak Challenge truck, side traverse, uneven ramp test as well as a the new staircase ramp test.

Admission is free and visitors who make a booking of any Mitsubishi vehicles during the Mitsubishi Red Peak Adventure will receive the special edition all-new Triton umbrella, while the first 100 who test drive any Mitsubishi model will receive free KFC vouchers (while stock lasts).
That’s not all; kids who take part in a special sand art competition also stand a chance to win a bicycle. There will also be lucky draw prizes to be won, with grand prize of RM 888!
The all-new Triton has been developed to be the “Ultimate Sport Utility Truck”, combining the comfortable interior of a passenger car with the functionality and reliability of a pickup. The all-new Triton, imported as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) vehicle from Mitsubishi Motors’ global production hub in Thailand, is available in five variants for the Malaysian market priced from RM 67,603.64 to 108,273.68.
The Mitsubishi ASX is the first local assembled by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia. The stylish yet compact SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre MIVEC engine with an output of 150PS and 197Nm. Both the 4WD and 2WD variants utilize a smooth INVECS-III CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) with Sports Mode offering six virtual ratios for enhanced driver involvement while maintaining superb fuel efficiency.
The ASX Compact SUV is priced at RM114,743.50*(2WD) and RM128,879.50 (4WD). After clinching the Asian Auto Allianz Auto “Best Local Assembled SUV” award in 2014, the Mitsubishi ASX added two more titles to its collection of awards. Autocar Asean awarded the ASX with “Best Small/Midsize SUV” and Cars, Bikes & Trucks awarded the ASX with “Small/Midsize SUV (4×2) of the Year”, both publications choosing the ASX as a winner under their respective SUV categories.
The Pajero Sport GL is priced at RM150, 277.60 while the Pajero Sport VGT is priced at RM172,211.60. The highly advanced power-train of the Pajero Sport VGT was once again recognized for its superb fuel efficiency in the Asian Auto Fuel Efficiency Awards 2014 by coming in first in the Premium SUV category.
