The limited edition Seiko Presage Tradman’s Bonsai is now in Malaysia.
Seiko Presage has officially expanded its Classic Series lineup with the launch of the TRADMAN’S BONSAI Limited Edition (Reference: HCC009J1). Distributed in Malaysia via official sole distributor Thong Sia Sdn Bhd, the timepiece celebrates the intersection of heritage horology and living art.
Created in close supervision with TRADMAN’S BONSAI—a Japanese creative collective established in 2015 dedicated to modernizing the traditional craft through art, design, and fashion collaborations—the limited-edition reference captures the tranquil imagery of a Japanese black pine (kuromatsu) illuminated by moonlight.
Limited to just 2,000 individually numbered pieces worldwide, the timepiece retails in Malaysia at a recommended price of MYR 6,900.00, with availability commencing in September 2026 across Seiko Boutiques and authorized retail partners.
Design Concept: Moonlight Radiance and Aged Pine Bark
The visual identity of the HCC009J1 is built on the harmonious interplay between warm golden illumination and rich evergreen tones:
- Dial Texture and Matsuba-Iro Finish: The organic, relief-textured dial mirrors the rugged, cracked bark pattern that develops naturally on a black pine as it ages over decades. It is finished in a deep matsuba-iro (pine needle green), a classical Japanese shade revered as a symbol of longevity and prosperity.
- Warm Gold-Tone Accents: The glow of the moon is expressed through polished gold-tone applied bar hour markers, faceted alpha hands, and a gold-finished stainless steel case with a fine coin-edge bezel.
- Clean No-Date Layout: To preserve the uninterrupted flow of the pine bark texture, the dial adopts a pure three-hand time-only format.
Balanced Vintage Dimensions and Dual-Strap Versatility
The HCC009J1 adopts classic dress-watch proportions suited for everyday wear:
