Audi’s 2017 A5 Caught On Test
We have heard of reports in Germany that plans are already underway for the next generation of the Audi A5. In fact, our www.dsf.my spy photographers have just captured the 2017 A5 undergoing testing on the road although it was under heavy camouflage.
This market segment has been very competitive of late but Audi’s new design language, elegant cabin styling coupled with and redesigned drive-trains will help the vehicle give its competitors a run for their money.
The exterior profile of the upcoming Audi A5 will be more stylish and elegant than the outgoing model. However, its dimensions remain unchanged. The 2017 Audi A5 will be based on the MLB platform commonly referred to as MLB EVO which has been enhanced. The car will be 250 pounds lighter.
New changes on the exterior include a redesigned front bumper, larger air intakes and a modified grille which is flanked by new LED headlights. The side mirrors also feature a new design which is more stylish and more aerodynamic. At the rear, the vehicle features redesigned LED taillights.
On the inside, the cabin styling of the new A5 will borrow a lot from the next generation Audi A4 sedan which will be launched in Malaysia in the coming months (we predict late June or early July).
