Limited-Edition Isuzu D-Max Beast Launched
Isuzu Malaysia has officially launched the new Isuzu D-Max Beast. Limited to just 360 units nationwide, the variant is kitted with a slew of dark painted features accentuated by its base colours of either Magnum White Solid or Titan Silver Metallic.
Speaking to members of the media at the launch, CEO of Isuzu Malaysia Kenji Matsuoka explained that the limited-edition Isuzu D-Max Beast epitomized the bold and distinctive character that the Isuzu D-Max exudes in a styling and comfort package that truly sets itself apart.
“The strong character of the Isuzu D-Max is truly encapsulated in the styling cues of the Isuzu D-Max Beast. Its distinctive and expressive outlook, coupled with its contrasting colour scheme creates a bold and individualistic look that will turn heads wherever it goes,” said Matsuoka.
Up front, a dark grey grille and bonnet garnish replace the usual chrome-finished parts. A matte black bumper guard with a silver accent plate have been added to give the front of the D-Max Beast a more rugged character while the black headlight garnish provides a stronger facial expression. LED daytime running lights are fitted as standard.
Its character is further imposed from the sides thanks to the black-painted door handles, roof rails, door mirrors and side steps, along with exclusive ‘Beast’ body decal. Matte black wheel arches and 17-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in 255/65 rubbers complete the appearance of the D-Max Beast. To maximise its usefulness, the D-Max Beast is also equipped with a claw bar with a lockable lid, a stylish aero spoiler and a bed liner.
Moving into the cabin, the D-Max Beast features a two-tone Italian leather upholstery complete with ‘Beast’ logo stitching on the seat backs. The carpet mats too have the stitching while the stainless steel kick panels are illuminated with LED Isuzu logos when doors are opened. The interior trim is replaced with a darker shade of grey, providing the vehicle with a more premium feel.
In keeping with its aggressive outlook, the vehicle’s audio system has been upgraded and now features a Kenwood multimedia player with a 6.2-inch touch screen complete with a reverse camera. Added punch and superior sound clarity are provided by a Bongiovi digital amplifier and six surround sound speakers.
The Isuzu D-Max BEAST is available with a 4×4 automatic transmission with either 2.5-litre or 3.0-litre engines. It is priced from RM119,559.44 and RM127,547.56 (on-the-road with insurance and GST), respectively.
