Subaru Tribeca, Liberty & Outback Have Takata Recall Issued
Subaru global is advising owners of the Subaru Tribeca, year 2007-2009, Subaru Liberty, year 2004-2009 and the Subaru Outback, year 2004-2009 to take serious note as all their cars are affected by the TAKATA recall.
Motor Image in Malaysia who is the Subaru brand guardian never sold these models here, so the units running around in Malaysia are all reconditioned/used models that have no backup service. This is why you should NOT buy a reconditioned/gray market/used car.
The passenger front airbag inflator propellant wafers may have an increased potential for moisture intrusion over time. Moisture intrusion could potentially make the inflator assembly more susceptible to rupture during airbag deployment. So what can these owners do?
