Brabus, one of Germany’s best-known tuners unveiled the PowerXtra B50 Hybrid, a more extreme version of Mercedes’ S500 plug-in hybrid sedan. The B50 immediately stands out from the S500 thanks to a comprehensive list of upgrades in the engine bay and this tuning program is now available in Malaysia with a full warranty and service program from Naza Brabus.
The tuning specialists from Bottrop have also developed the B50 tuning package, which is a plug-and-play system that messes with the engine’s ECU to provide a much more sizable amount of horsepower and torque.
The stock twin-turbocharged 4.7-liter V8 in the Mercedes-Benz S 500 is good for 455hp and 700Nm of torque.
The Brabus B50 tuning package ups that amount to 540hp and a massive 820Nm of torque without modifying the internals of the V8, bringing the model’s acceleration numbers dangerously close to the ones from a stock Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG.
Paired with an exterior bodykit that looks almost as inconspicuous as the one from the aforementioned AMG variant and painted white, you have got yourself a luxurious sleeper sedan that can get from standstill to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds, while the top speed is electronically-limited to 300km/h.
