SIC Launches Shell Malaysia MotoGP 2016 – 28 to 30 October

Sepang International Circuit (SIC) today officially launched the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix 2016 that will be held at Sepang from 28 to 30 October. The race, which is the penultimate round of this season, is also the 26th edition of the Malaysia MotoGP.

The launch at Nu Sentral saw the presence of YBhg Dato’ Razlan Razali, CEO of SIC and Shairan Huzani Husain, Shell Malaysia’s Local Senior Downstream Representative.

The MotoGP weekend offers a packed programme filled with evergreen favourites such as the rider’s autograph session, bike stunt show, safety car ride, public pit lane walk, and the Mega MotoGP carnival with more than 80 booths.

Meanwhile, new on the programme is a rider’s cycling activity, a sports match between the top riders against Malaysia’s top athletes, fan forum, a special Watch the Race from the Sky event, and a two-day Rockaway concert featuring Scorpions, Wings, Wolfmother, and many more.

Leading up to the race week, SIC will be organising fun activities including live viewing sessions of MotoGP races at The Podium by Daun in Sri Hartamas, as well as contests and prize giveaways.

Tickets range from RM318 for a Premier Roving pass to RM42.40 for a C2 Covered Hillstand ticket. Tickets for the Main Grandstand and K1 Grandstand are priced at RM212 and RM116.60 respectively. However, tickets for the F Grandstand as well as Club Suite passes are already sold out.

Special tribune areas will also be provided, with prices starting from RM74.20 for SIC’s very own Drive M7 SIC Racing Team, RM169.60 for Valentino Rossi and RM265 for Marc Marquez.

Those preferring more luxurious settings can buy the MotoGP VIP Village passes. Fans also have the option of purchasing F&B as well as transportation packages together with their race tickets. To secure a parking spot in their preferred parking zone, fans can buy parking tickets online at a reduced price starting from RM10. There is also a 50% discount for disabled spectators.
