Results of The Vehicle of the Year Awards (VOTY 2017) Out Tomorrow

The automotive industry has undergone some major changes over the last few years. More discerning customers, stiffer competition, the advent of ride-sharing platforms and better legislation have altered the landscape significantly. Economic challenges and a declining Ringgit have further toughened the situation, forcing some brands to downsize or even close down.

Navigating these unknown waters takes a lot more than just exciting products – it takes great, committed people.

The Vehicle of the Year Awards (VOTY) was conceptualised with this in mind. It’s the first local automotive awards ceremony that pays homage to both groundbreaking products as well as the hardworking Malaysians that bring them to our shores.

VOTY is hosted by Malaysian motoring website www.dsf.my and Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad, along with co-sponsors Bosch Malaysia and Starbucks Malaysia. It will feature 25 segments that cover the best vehicles, technologies, and of course, individuals and teams behind the scenes.

Participation is automatic and absolutely free of charge, with zero advertising obligations and free seats for invitees. This minimises the risk of bias, and ensures a merit-based system. The winners from each category will be selected by the editorial staff of www.dsf.my, headed by editorial head, Daniel Fernandez and his dedicated team who love vehicles.

Check back tomorrow with our media partners, The Malay Mail, The Malaysian Reserve and Oriental Daily to see which brands, products and people take it home!
