What happened to the car temperature meter?

We started driving with the education to always watch and hear our engine revolution, watch the engine temperature and take note of our oil pressure. As the years progressed, the oil pressure meter was deleted and in its place a light was added….to shine brightly when the pressure is high. Then as the years continued the engine temperature meter was deleted and a light was added to also shine in 2 stages, getting hot and very hot.

Soon the speedometer might be deleted and a 3-stage warning light will be added to show, speeding a little, speeding above the 10% allowed limit and ‘whoa’ you are driving too fast.

Please give us back our meters. We like them and we use them better when we can see them moving up and back down.
