Scirocco will be back…..with 300hp electric power
The current 3rd generation of the Volkswagen Scirocco is already 9-years ago and its last facelift in 2014 drew mixed emotions from fans with its very mild tweaks. Now we hear that an all new Scirocco is on its way and it will be powered exclusively by electric motors.
Despite the major change in its powertrain, the vehicle will remain true to its roots, which is a sexy, two-door sports coupe, fun to drive and great looking. The all new Scirocco, which is slated for 2019 will be based on Volkswagen’s all new MEB platform which is designed just for electric-powered vehicles.
