So why would you consider buying a Porsche Macan?

Before that a little history. The Porsche Cayenne was and continues to be a global hit for Porsche, so it was obvious that a compact SUV was needed to compete in the fast growing global compact crossover SUV market. The arrival of the Macan was almost inevitable.

With one quick look, the design of the Macan carries the signature Porsche iconic look. The sloping hatch rear end with its rear taillights and optional carbon fibre side-blade door inlays that are shared with the Porsche 918 Spyder sports car.

Yes, it’s a 911 on steroids and it has been working out in the gym. The Macan is clearly an SUV, with its raised ride height, but that Porsche badge is also a sign that this car has serious sporting ability. The Macan is capable of converting its engine power into exceptionally sporty driving dynamics whilst delivering good comfort to its passengers.

The Macan is a muscular SUV and its stance is more pronounced when you look at it from its nose. The rear carries a sporty heft with its flared arches filled with wide tires.

For the current Porsche sports car owner, it is a definite addition to the garage with its space and load lugging ability with its 500-litres of luggage space while the rear seats are up. You can easily get 1,500-litres of space when you fold the rear seats down. This allows the Macan to genuinely be a spacious car, with room for a family and a large suitcase each.

It is also a great family vehicle with its easy entry and exit at the rear passenger area and wide seating. The kids are looked after with its high safety features and the driver has never a dull moment behind the wheel with its new generation engines. Handling of the Macan is taken cared of by the air suspension system with levelling control including the PASM with adaptive dampers. This suspension system comes as standard.

The efficient turbocharged 2-litre engine in the Macan delivers 252bhp from 5,000 to 6,800 rpm and delivers an impressive acceleration to 100km/h in just 6.7 seconds and with the optional Sport Chrono Package (which has the ‘Launch Control’ function included), the time is reduced to 6.5 seconds.

In the Macan ‘S’ the excitement increases with its 6-cylinder engine producing 340bhp and a sporting 460Nm of torque. The 0-100km/h dash is done in just 5.4 seconds…..supercar territory with a SUV!

Your Macan exhaust notes can also be further enhanced with the Tequipment Sport Exhaust System that delivers an emotional sound. Just speak to the Porsche sales consultant to get more details when purchasing your Macan.

Standard in all new Macan models is a high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen. The user interface enables operation that is intuitive and smartphone-like. Bluetooth, USB and SD card interfaces make it possible to integrate smartphones and memory media. You can also connect your iPhone via the PCM to use Apple CarPlay®* (*only applicable for Porsche Connect and Connect Plus). This allows for simply the best in car entertainment when you are in heavy traffic or just driving along the highway with your family.

Porsche will also allow you to individualize your Macan interior and also exterior (just like all its other models) so that you have a sense of exclusivity with your Macan.

Now, all you need to do is take a test drive and feel the luxury, comfort and power delivery of Porsche’s sporty baby.

Important to note that all Porsche vehicles sold by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) come with a 4-year warranty and 4-year free maintenance, including service and parts. This includes software upgrades which you will not get from any gray-reconditioned Macan from an unauthorized dealer.

Now all new Porsche Macan’s are also offered with a 1-year complimentary insurance for better peace of mind.
