BMW Group Malaysia introduces locally-assembled 530i M Sport

BMW Group Malaysia today introduced the new 530i M Sport as its newest model to be assembled in the country. The introduction of the Most Progressive Sports-Business Sedan on the Malaysian assembly line will mark the eleventh new model to join the portfolio of vehicles assembled in the country by the BMW Group.

The locally assembled variant will carry similar key features such as the M Aerodynamics components, M Sport brake, M light-alloy wheels, M specific pedals, and M leather steering wheels from the M Sport package.

Key driving assistance features such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Approach Control Warning & Person Warning, Collision Warning, Park Assistant as well as the BMW Display Key and BMW Gesture Control are all made available in the CKD version.

With the latest-generation inline 4-cylinder 2-litre petrol engine mated with an equally optimised eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, the 530i M Sport generates a maximum output of 252 hp, torque of 350 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds at a top speed of 250 km/h.

The sedan will be available in the colours of Alpine White, Mediterranean Blue, Sophisto Grey, Carbon Black Metallic and Bluestone Metallic.

Available at all BMW authorised showrooms, the new revised recommended retail prices with Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) status incentives fort he locally assembled 530i M Sport is RM 388,800.
