Renault Alpine A610, did any come to Malaysia?
Officially launched in 1991, the Renault Alpine A610 is the last model in the Alpine series. The factory where it was built is located in Dieppe and this factory is now manufacturing Renault’s vehicles.
Similar to the previous models, the A610 came with a rear-mounted engine and steel backbone chassis which is some what like a trademark for this French car company since the launch of the A110.
The Renault Alpine A610 was sold with a 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine that produced no less than 250horsepower and 350Nm of torque, which allowed it could run a top speed of 265km/h.
The V6 engine gave this Renault a 0-100km/h time of 5.7. Due to heavy competition from Japan and also Germany, this Alpine A610 started recording very low sales just a few years after its launch and so, in 1995, Renault ceased the whole production.
