Ford Ranger Raptor On Its Way To Malaysia…might be RM199k

Joining the Ford pickup truck lineup in 2018 will be this new variant, the Ford Ranger Raptor. This is the high-performance off-road truck you’ve been waiting for. This new Ranger pickup truck will carry the American Ford Raptor nose and some enhancements under the sizeable skin to give it the title truck of the year.

Compared to a double cab Ranger, the Raptor is more than a foot wider, with a front and rear track that’s grown nearly 6 inches. It also sits about 2 inches higher, giving the Ranger Raptor more than 11 inches of ground clearance. That means it now offers a 32.5-degree approach angle, 24-degree departure angle, and a 24-degree breakover angle.

It’s also been fitted with more than its fair share of new components to make sure it’s off-road-ready. That means new dampers from Fox Racing Shox, new rear coilovers, chunky BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, upgraded brakes, underbody protection, and fenders made out of a dent-resistant composite. In the event that you get stuck or need to rescue another vehicle, the Raptor also comes with an integrated tow bar and tow hooks.

This Ranger Raptor has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel that makes 210 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. It is a twin-turbodiesel working with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Price should reach a lofty RM199,000 or so as the indicated price in Thailand has been set at 1.6 million baht.
