The Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ EV delivers 792 km Range for just RM274,888.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially introduced the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ electric AMG Line, marking the local debut of the brand’s next-generation compact electric vehicle family. Order books have been open since January.
Crowned Car of the Year 2026, the all-new electric CLA serves as the technological spearhead for the Stuttgart brand’s EV portfolio. It introduces an 800-volt high-voltage architecture, a segment-first two-speed transmission, and the debut of the in-house developed Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS).
Alongside the CLA launch, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia announced that pre-bookings are now open for both the upcoming S-Class Facelift and the all-new electric GLC (estimated between RM370,000 and RM400,000). The first 100 customers who pre-book either the electric CLA or the electric GLC will receive exclusive passes to the upcoming Mercedes-AMG F1 Party.
Pricing and Agility+ Financing in Malaysia
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ electric AMG Line is priced at RM274,888 (on-the-road without insurance, inclusive of 10% sales tax for Peninsular Malaysia) and comes with a 4-year manufacturer warranty.
Through the Agility+ by Mercedes-Benz financing scheme, ownership starts from RM2,988 per month. This financing package includes:

The CLA 250+ electric is powered by Mercedes-Benz’s new Electric Drive Unit (EDU 2.0) mounted on the rear axle, driving the rear wheels through an innovative two-speed transmission:
- Performance Output: Generates 200 kW (272 hp) and 335 Nm of torque.
- Acceleration & Speed: Sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h.
- Two-Speed Transmission Ratios: Utilizes a short 11:1 first gear for off-the-line urban responsiveness and a taller 5:1 second gear for optimized highway cruising efficiency and high-speed top-end performance.
- Battery & Range: Equipped with an 85 kWh usable capacity high-voltage battery pack delivering a WLTP-rated range between 673 km and 792 km, with energy consumption averaging between 12.3 and 14.6 kWh/100km.
- 800V DC Fast Charging: Supports DC charging power of up to 320 kW, enabling a 10% to 80% state of charge in just 22 minutes, or replenishing up to 325 km of range in 10 minutes. Onboard AC charging supports up to 11 kW, completing a full charge in approximately 9 hours.
- Automated Billing: Integrated with MB.CHARGE Public, allowing drivers to authenticate and process payments automatically via the Mercedes-Benz App.
Chassis Engineering and Practical Frunk Storage
Riding on a comfort suspension setup, the CLA 250+ features a newly developed three-link front axle with forged aluminium transverse control arms and high camber-stiffness cast aluminium steering knuckles, paired with an independent multi-link rear suspension.
Dimensionally, the new CLA spans 4,723 mm in length (an increase of around 40 mm) on a 2,790 mm wheelbase (extended by over 60 mm), yielding 11 mm more front legroom and up to 28 mm more rear headroom.
Storage solutions include:
- Rear Boot: 405 liters of standard rear cargo volume.
- Front Boot (Frunk): 101 liters of dedicated under-hood storage, marking the first modern Mercedes-Benz vehicle equipped with a front luggage compartment.
Sensual Purity Styling and Panoramic Thermal Roof
Adopting the AMG Line exterior, the four-door coupe presents an athletic shark-nose front fascia highlighted by a newly designed grille panel containing 142 illuminated star motifs and an illuminated central Mercedes-Benz star.
- Lighting: MULTIBEAM LED headlamps featuring star-shaped daytime running light signatures and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.
- Aerodynamics: Frameless doors with flush retractable handles, aerodynamically sculpted beltline mirrors, a high-gloss black rear diffuser, and 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels.
- Panoramic Roof Glass: A single-piece fixed glass roof without a central cross-brace. The glass integrates an exterior 250-nanometer infrared reflection film and an interior 200-nanometer Low-Emissivity (LowE) thermal coating, eliminating the need for a mechanical roller sunblind while keeping cabin heat low.
MB.OS Architecture with Dual Generative AI Integration
Inside, the cabin features the floating MBUX Superscreen, spanning across the entire dashboard with a 10.25-inch digital driver cluster, a 14-inch center infotainment display, and a secondary 14-inch front passenger display.
The vehicle marks the global production debut of MB.OS, an in-house chip-to-cloud software architecture that decouples software development from hardware and governs infotainment, comfort systems, and driving functions.
- MBUX Virtual Assistant with Dual AI: Incorporates generative artificial intelligence from both Microsoft (ChatGPT/Bing) for natural multi-turn conversations and general knowledge, alongside Google Gemini via Vertex AI for automotive and navigation queries.
- Context-Aware Living Avatar: The central star avatar shifts colors to reflect emotional context and mood, changing between blue, green, and orange/red during interactions.
- Google Maps Navigation: Features customized route guidance with Electric Intelligence, continuously calculating charging stops, traffic variations, and energy consumption forecasts.
- Interior Controls & Trim: Outfitted with capacitive sports steering wheel switches with haptic points, floating centre console, ARTICO man-made leather and MICROCUT microfibre upholstery derived from recycled PET bottles and renewable tanning agents, and carpets made from Econyl yarn.
Comprehensive Safety Suite
Active and passive safety equipment includes the MB.DRIVE Standard driver assistance suite, MB.DRIVE Parking Assist 360, Vision Control, and GUARD 360 vehicle protection.
Passive safety is reinforced with a front-center airbag integrated into the driver’s seat backrest, designed to deploy between front occupants during severe side impacts.
