Maserati has transitioned its operations in Malaysia, marking the end of its 16-year partnership with Naza Italia recently and now with a new partner.
Existing Maserati owners need not worry as the new brand owner will retain their warranty coverage and aftersales support without disruption, handled by the experienced technical team from the previous brand guardian in the new location.
Maserati’s parent company, Stellantis, is directly overseeing the official brand rights for Malaysia moving forward. The brand resides with a new local partner which is the same entity handling the revived Alfa Romeo brand in Malaysia.
Operations have moved from the long-standing facility along the Federal Highway in Petaling Jaya to a flagship showroom at Rhapsody Square, TREC, Kuala Lumpur.
Right now, Maserati vehicles available in the local market include the Grecale SUV and the GranTurismo, with prices ranging from roughly RM634,000 for standard petrol models to upwards of RM1.1 Million for top-tier variants like the Grecale Trofeo.
Meanwhile, the Maserati brand is expanding its presence in Malaysia with its all-electric Folgore range, including the Grecale Folgore and GranTurismo Folgore.
Maserati’s 2027 model lineup marks a major refresh across its core portfolio. Celebrating the centenary of the Trident logo, Maserati is refining its design language, dropping 4-cylinder engines in favor of twin-turbo V6 powertrains, and improving efficiency across its all-electric Folgore models.
2027 Model Lineup Overview
1. Maserati Grecale SUV
All-V6 Engine Lineup: The 4-cylinder base model is phased out. The new entry-level Grecale V6 and Modena V6 now feature a 385 hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter Nettuno V6.
Grecale Trofeo: Continues as the gas-powered performance flagship outputting 523 hp.
Grecale Folgore (EV): The 542 hp all-electric SUV receives active air grille shutters, improved underbody aerodynamics, and optimized battery energy algorithms to extend total driving range.
2. Maserati GranTurismo Coupe
GranTurismo Trofeo: Gets a +40 hp performance bump, bringing its 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6 to 582 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque (0–60 mph under 3.8 seconds).
GranTurismo Base V6: Retains its 483 hp twin-turbo V6 setup with tweaked suspension dynamics for daily comfort.
GranTurismo Folgore (EV): Retains its 800V tri-motor setup generating 751 hp, with upgraded range management and refined dynamic control.
3. Maserati GranCabrio Convertible
Matching V6 & EV Outputs: Receives the exact same mechanical updates as the GranTurismo coupe (483 hp Base, 582 hp Trofeo, and 751 hp Folgore EV).
Customization: Expands the Fuoriserie bespoke program, allowing customized fabric soft-top colors alongside new exterior paint options.
Across all 2027 models, Maserati is introducing a sharper front fascia, clear taillight lenses, flat-geometry steering wheels, haptic metal gear selector buttons, and an updated digital command center featuring a new octagonal digital clock display.
