Laurent Ferrier, makes impressive debut in Malaysia with stunning timepieces
It was an evening of pure style and elegance with Christian Ferrier, the son of Founder, veteran Swiss watchmaker Laurent Ferrier in attendance to introduce Laurent Ferrier’s entry into Malaysia with Sincere Fine Watches Malaysia at their exclusive boutique in Pavilion KL.
Laurent Ferrier is an independent brand founded in 2008 by a veteran Swiss watchmaker of the same name.
In attendance and representing the Laurent Ferrier brand was Christian Ferrier, son of founder Laurent Ferrier and brand CEO, Vanessa Monestel. Amongst the most notable timepieces within the Laurent Ferrier collection making their debut here in Kuala Lumpur is the Galet Annual Calendar School Piece, a SIHH 2018 novelty, the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral and Ferrier’s horological values: simplicity, precision and pure, uncluttered beauty.
Powered by exquisitely finished, in-house movements, the understated elegance of Laurent Ferrier have quickly become revered among watch connoisseurs.
The World Exclusive, the Laurent Ferrier Galet Traveller Asia of which only three timepieces were created exclusively for retailer Sincere Fine Watches.
Clad in rose gold, the Laurent Ferrier Galet Traveller Asia pays special tribute to Asia with a beautiful enamel dial featuring a luscious map of Asia.
The event kickstarted when Vanessa Monestel, CEO of Laurent Ferrier welcomed and addressed the guests, sharing with them a presentation of the brand and the collection which were all on display at the Sincere boutique.
“On occasion of SIHH 2018, Laurent Ferrier introduced the Galet Annual Calendar School Piece that features a brand new movement that brings with it an unprecedented complication for the brand: an annual calendar function. This is our fifth in-house movement and we are extremely proud of how the timepiece is so easy to read, easy to use and very easy to adjust. We hope to develop and enhance the knowledge of Laurent Ferrier in Malaysia and to keep on creating new pieces and new calibres to make watchmakers and watch enthusiasts fall in love with our watches and enjoy wearing them.“
To keep guests suitably entertained and to engage guests with the art of watchmaking as part of the Sincere Watch Academy, Christian Ferrier held a live watchmaking masterclass that presented selected media and guests the opportunity to experience first hand the fine art of mastering Black Polishing also known as Spéculaire. The fun and enjoyable masterclass saw attendees polish the intricate components to a mirror finish using a variety of traditional techniques and materials.
