This Lamborghini Miura SV Took More than a Year to Restore

At Rétromobile last week, this specially-restored red Miura SV was showed off.

Polo Storico, Lamborghini’s in-house “heritage department”, undertook the restoration of this 46 year old gem.

It takes its #3673 chassis number from an older, totalled Miura S, which was not an uncommon practice before with sports car manufacturers.

Only 150 units of the Miura SV were built between 1971 and 1973. They were moved by 3.9L V12 petrol engines producing 380hp and 400Nm of torque. Compared to other versions of the Miura, the SV model features a wider rear track beside the increase in engine power.

It took more than a year to restore the car, which involved completely dismantling it. It’s worth noting that the car itself belongs to the President of the FIA. Here are more photos for you to enjoy:
