Audi A6 Hybrid replacement battery price confirmed
Audi in Malaysia is now managed remotely from its Singapore regional headquarters and at the recent ‘Q’ series launch we asked them to confirm the replacement battery costs for Audi A6 hybrid and they were quick to share with us the price. The recommended retail price for the A6 hybrid battery is just RM48,000. (this is before any discount is negotiated, if possible).
So, in 2013 beyond its sensible selling price of RM288k what inspired the A6 Hybrid’s case as a value buy in the luxury segment. In the engine room sits Audi’s 1,984cc EA 888 4-cylinder turbocharged engine installed north-south ahead of the front axle which it propels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, it does not use the A6 2.0 TFSI’s 180hp/320Nm setup, but rather the A4 & Q5’s 211hp/350Nm state of tune. Combined with the 54hp and 211Nm supplied by the electric motor, the powertrain’s net system output is rated at 245hp and 480Nm.
