B-Quik Racing Team Gets Double Win at the Bangsaen GP
B-Quik Racing Team pair of Audi R8 LMS GT3s were unbeatable at Thailand Super Series’ showpiece event, the Bangsaen Grand Prix.
It was first the turn of the team’s silver-silver ranked duo of Martin Rump and Sandy Stuvik to record a thrilling round five win, then for the team’s all-bronze ranked entry of Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilski to repeat the feat in round six at the picturesque beachside street circuit.
The win for Kiks and Bilski is the pair’s third of the season and catapults them back into overall lead in the series’ headline category, Super Car GT3, with just one double-header remaining this season.
The overall pace of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 was underlined further in round six when Stuvik set a new lap record (1:32.859) at the Bangsaen street circuit in his hunt for podium places.
“B-Quik Racing did a superb job all weekend. Their double Audi R8 LMS GT3 line-up is well balanced and everyone on the team puts their heart and soul into each race,” said Martin Kuehl, Director of Audi Sport customer racing Asia.
“They have given themselves a great chance to be in the fight for silverware at the season finale.”
Meanwhile over 2,500 kilometres to the north, Audi customers were also enjoying a success-filled weekend at an Asian race track.
In round three of the China Endurance Championship T.K.R’s Chen Bohan, Xie Peihan, Jing Zefeng and Su Yanming took a GTC class victory in their Audi R8 LMS Cup car.
In the TCR class the Audi RS 3 LMS was rampant with a top four lock out in Shanghai, China. Team NewFaster took all three podium positions, with the driver team of Sun Junlong, Liang Zhiwei and Zou Baolong taking victory after 280 minutes of racing.
Its racers like this that attracts more attention race after race from street side fans.
