Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ in Malaysia for RM449K
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia digitally launched 3 compact AMG models today over Youtube Live and Facebook Live video. The three models are:
- Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Edition 1
- Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Edition 1
- Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+
For the first time, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia have brought in the 2nd generation CLA. They decided to go straight for the highest performance version available, the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+.
It offers similar performance numbers to the hatchback version that was also introduced today, but lags a little behind by 0.1 seconds in its 0-100km/h time. It’s also cheaper by more than RM10,000 but lacks the Edition 1 upgrades on the 5-door hatchback.
Just like the A 45 S, the CLA 45 S comes with an all-new 2-litre M139 engine that’s turbocharged and more powerful than anything else in its class. 421 hp and 500Nm of torque allows the car to complete the century sprint in just 4 seconds.
Sending this power to all four wheels is an 8-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT Dual Clutch Transmission with manual gear selection and different drive programmes through AMG DYNAMIC SELECT.
The engine and transmission combination allows the CLA45 S to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed fo 270km/h.
