Allianz Motorcycle Plus Offers Protection at No Extra Cost

While motorcycles are easy to ride and provide an economical mode of transportation, there is no doubt that motorcyclists face greater risks of accidents and injuries when they are on the road.

For this reason, Allianz General introduced Allianz Motorcycle Plus for those who ride motorcycles under 245 cc. It offers two types of coverage, namely Comprehensive and Third Party Only. Depending on your needs, each coverage has its own advantages.

PRESS RELEASE

Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) is looking out for small bikes (below 245cc), offering riders bigger protection at no extra cost.

Launched in April last year, Allianz Motorcycle Plus offers base protection that covers losses or damages to your motorcycle due to accident, fire, and theft; third party death and bodily injuries; and third party property losses or damages. However, in choosing between comprehensive and Third Party Only coverage, riders can enjoy extra protection.

In opting for comprehensive coverage, riders will be eligible for an Accident Cover of RM5,000 (for death or permanent disablement), Hospital Income of RM50 a day (up to 60 Days), and the All Special Perils Full Sum-Insured Protection (covering flood, landslides or any natural disasters). Those that choose the Third Party Only coverage will be entitled to an Accident Cover of RM5,000 (for death or permanent disablement) and Hospital Income of RM50 a day (up to 60 Days), all with no additional premium required.

Horst Habbig, Chief Sales Officer of Allianz General

“What Allianz General offers customers is extra protection at no extra cost because what matters to us is providing protection that will truly make a difference in the lives of Malaysians. After all, if someone has got to look out for the kapcai (underbone) riders – let it be us,” said Horst Habbig, Chief Sales Officer of Allianz General.

Habbig also noted that between May 2019 to May 2020, Allianz General issued more than 720,000 Allianz Motorcycle Plus policies.

“Malaysians are very discerning, and they know good value when they see it. While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way people think, they are still going to seek security in quality. That makes our jobs as insurers a little easier as we continue to provide affordable products with the best protection and the best coverage that money can buy,” added Habbig.
