Mercedes-Benz C 200 Coupé AMG Line Updated in Malaysia
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia have updated the C 200 Coupé facelift model with a brand new engine under its hood and some new equipment as well. And for as long as the 50% SST discount applies to CBU vehicles, this new C 200 is actually a little cheaper than before. For the rest of 2020, it’s priced at RM336,129.38 where the previous model costed RM346,888 upon launch.
The new C 200 has a 2-litre turbocharged engine to replace the 1.5-litre EQ Boost powertrain. Power figures have increased from 184 hp and 280 Nm (with 13hp and 160Nm EQ Boost assist) to 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Despite lacking EQ Boost assist on the new 2.0-litre engine, the updated C 200 Coupé has better acceleration and a higher top speed. It’s able to go from 0-100km/h in just 7.2 seconds (vs 7.9 seconds previously) and tops out at 245km/h versus 239km/h before.
Besides the new engine, the updated C 200 Coupé also comes with Mercedes me connect, which connects the vehicle to the internet and the owner’s smartphone. Using the mercedes me app on Android or on iOS, owners can have some remote connectivity to their new C 200 Coupé. They’ll be able to do things like unlock their car, start the engine, check their fuel level. Other features include an emergency call system (E-call), remote vehicle diagnostics, pre-entry climate control, predictive navigation, and parked vehicle locator.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is proud of introduce the enhanced Mercedes-Benz C 200 Coupé AMG Line, with a new 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Turbocharged engine under its hood. The new entry-level dream car now produces more power with an output of 150 kW (204 hp) and torque of 300 Nm, with acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds and an impressive top speed of 245 km/h.
The C 200 Coupé is now equipped with the Mercedes me connect (Mmc) – enhancing the connection between driver and the vehicle. The connected car service is designed to make the lives of Mercedes-Benz owners easier and at ease, whether it is unlocking their car, starting the engine remotely, getting customer support or simply checking their fuel level.*
Combination of emotional and intelligence on the outside and the inside
The appearance of the AMG Line exterior underscored the sporty, expressive character of the C 200 Coupé AMG Line. From the front, the vehicle exudes sportiness and lifestyle at a first glance. The diamond radiator grille, integrated with the three-pointed star and pins in chrome plus an AMG-specific front apron with new geometry gives it an individual character.
The black trim elements in the AMG rear apron further accentuates the LED rear lamps. The 18-inch AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels also gives the C 200 Coupé a powerful styling element. The inside of the C 200 Coupé also comes with the AMG Line features. Amongst the numerous highlights of the AMG Line include the ARTICO leather upholstery, multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather, galvanized steering wheel gearshift paddles, AMG
sports pedals and the AMG floor mats. It creates a dynamic interior design and emphasises the sporty driving style.
The Mercedes me connect is a communication module that allows customers to stay in touch with their vehicles from anywhere in the world, whether it is unlocking their car, starting the engine remotely, getting customer support or simply checking their fuel level.
Other features of the Mercedes me connect includes Mercedes–Benz emergency call system (E-call), remote vehicle diagnostics, pre-entry climate control, predictive navigation, and parked vehicle locator.
To enjoy the services, users are required to register and set up their personal Mercedes me account at https://www.mercedes-benz.com.my/mercedes-me or via the Mercedes me app, available for iOS or Android. Authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers will then pair the Mercedes
me account to the vehicle and to further activate the services.
