UMW Toyota Continues to Transfer Outlets to Dealers

UMW continue to move away from the dealership model, sticking more to the business of assembling and distributing Toyota vehicles.

After Section 19 PJ and Cheras, three more Toyota outlets owned and operated by UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) have now been transferred to its dealers.

According to the company, its outlets in Kota Kinabalu and Kuching will be taken over by Borneo Mobility (Sabah) Sdn Bhd and Borneo Mobility (Sarawak), respectively, while the Subang Jaya branch will be handed over to PCM Subang Motor Sdn Bhd.

This allows UMWT to increase intensity on high value added upstream activities such as product development, marketing and dealer network support, while dealers continue to dedicate themselves towards delivering customer satisfaction.
