Naza Kia RED CUBE Federal Highway Shuts Down
Kia Motors will still be operating in Malaysia.
This Naza Kia Motor Petaling Jaya Red Cube signature showroom has been a very noticeable landmark from the time it was opened in 2011. This 3S center was one of the most trusted Kia service outlets in Petaling and was located at NO. 5, JALAN 51A / 219 along the busy Federal Highway. It was also the very first Kia RED CUBE outlet in Malaysia. Now it has been shut down and in the midst of being taken over by a Chinese automotive brand.
This outlet opening in 2011 was followed by the opening of the Johor Bahru RED CUBE and in March 2014 the opening of the 3rd RED CUBE outlet in Kuantan’s Semambu Industrial Estate. The Kuantan RED CUBE 3S centre sits on a 49,213 square foot area and has 14 service bays that was able to service up to 35 cars per day.
At the Kuantan RED CUBE opening ceremony, Tae Jin Park, the President of KIA Motor Corporation’s Regional Office was in attendance and he signed the plague at the launch which was witnessed by Datuk Syed Abdull Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar, the then Naza Kia Malaysia COO. Opened with an investment of RM5 million, this RED CUBE outlet was followed by the Rawang RED CUBE which has also closed for business recently.
The Kia RED CUBE Rawang 4S centre sits on a 37,314 square foot area that can display 6 cars in showroom area and has 21 service bays that was able to service up to 50 cars per day. This closed outlet is located at Lot 605, Batu 20, Jalan Rawang, 48000 Rawang, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
The company invested RM11 million into this 4S outlet to include sales, service, spare parts, and body and paint facilities with meeting rooms, a customer lounge, delivery bay area, playground room, free WIFI, and internet stations for customers.
As recent as September 11th 2020, a press release to announce the ‘Open For Booking’ for the Kia Seltos Crossover mentioned this Naza Kia Motor Petaling Jaya RED CUBE as one of its many dealers where Malaysians looking for a stylish new crossover can visit this showroom to make a booking.
Kia RED CUBE showrooms is a concept created by Kia Motors Korea to deliver a global space identify and standard for a complete visual representation of Kia’s design-focused brand strategy and whilst the new showrooms will only open at major new-build sites many of the concept’s elements will soon be found at all Kia showrooms around the world. This dramatic new-look showroom features strong red cladding, distinctive side-return architecture and a clean, impressive interior to give customers an even more professional and comfortable experience when they are either buying a new Kia or returning for after-sales service.
Malaysia was the second country after South Korea to adapt the RED CUBE showroom identity which was followed by China, Mexico, England, Canada and most recently in India.
