Mazda CX-30 Gets A Skyactiv-G Turbo Petrol Engine

This model should arrive in Mazda showrooms this year.

This all new Mazda Crossover first arrived in Malaysia in late 2019 with a price tag of RM141,649 and carrying the fuel efficient Skyactiv 2.0L engine. In September 2020, this fast selling CX-30 got an equipment upgrade with the addition of a power tailgate and its selling price moved up a little to just RM144,759. 

Then in the third quarter of 2020, Mazda Japan released a turbocharged petrol variant of the CX-30, Using the same Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine we saw in the CX-5 SUV and the Mazda6 sports sedan.

BHP diesel

Able to deliver an impressive 250bhp, this hot hatch crossover will give its immediate rivals from Germany a run for their premium pricing. The current Mazda CX-5 Turbo sells in Malaysia for RM176,000 so you expect a price tag for this CX-30 Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo to be around RM170,000 or so which is much lower than the asking price of BMW X2, Lexus UX, Mercedes GLA, Mini Clubman and Audi Q2

Featured Safety

Advanced technologies available on the 2021 CX-30 2.5 Turbo will complement the modern, sophisticated design while also providing occupants with peace of mind. New i-Activsense safety features include Smart City Brake Support Reverse with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking, which can help a driver by automatically applying the brakes when the vehicle is reversing at speeds between 2 to 4 mph if an obstacle or when backing out of a parking space a crossing vehicle is detected. A new support feature, Traffic Jam Assist, enhances Mazda Radar Cruise Control in certain situations by providing steering inputs that can help assist the driver stay within lane markers at speeds under 40 mph. The 360° View Monitor with high-definition digital clarity is also available. These new features accompany other premium technologies that help the CX-30 2.5 Turbo stand out from its segment, such as Active Driving Display, Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Front-lighting System.
