MINI 3 Door, 5 Door and Convertible Models Updated For 2021
MINI Malaysia updates the Cooper S Hatch 3 Door and 5 Door Models.
The entire MINI range was recently given a facelift globally and today MINI Malaysia has brought that range in. This includes the MINI Cooper S 3 Door Hatch, MINI Cooper S 5 Door Hatch, MINI Convertible and MINI Electric. In this article, we’ll be covering the new Mini Cooper S Hatch and Cooper S Convertible models, as they’re essentially the same under the hood and based on a similar chassis.
All three of these models are powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol engine producing 192 horsepower and 280Nm of torque. The engine sends power to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Although power figures are identical, the variants have performance differences due to weight and aerodynamic differences.

Although these new design elements are common between all three variants, the Hatchback and Convertible models have different available colours. Note that MINI Malaysia did not bring any of these with the new gradient roof option which transitions from San Marino Blue, to Pearly Aqua to Jet Black.

Both models will be in MINI showrooms nationwide immediately. However, due to MCO rules, dealerships will be closed for 2 weeks. Instead, the vehicles can be viewed and booked online. Booking fee is just RM1,000.
