UMW Toyota And Lexus Sold 8,487 Cars In Malaysia This March

Toyota Motor and Lexus report on March 2022 sales.

A total of 22,447 Toyota and Lexus vehicles were sold nationwide in the first quarter of 2022, with 8,487 units being registered in the month of March alone.

Toyota saw an uptick in sales of 32%, from 6,366 units sold in February to 8,386 units moved in March 2022. For Lexus, 101 units were moved in March, which represents a jump from just 66 units in February 2022.

Ongoing Ramadan promotions are such to give Malaysians more reasons to buy Toyota and Lexus products throughout the months of April and May. The real question is whether they can keep ahead of Honda in terms of sales. Both Japanese car brands have a slew of important new model launches this year.

Malaysia’s top non-national automotive brand sees a positive growth in its performance for the month of March. Recording a total sale of 8,386 of Toyota and 101 of Lexus, UMW Toyota Motor continues to be encouraged for the year ahead. Sales for the year-to-date are expected to continue in this upward trend, with the total sales for the quarter being at 22,447 units.

Numbers for the month of February were recorded at 6,432 while March sees sales at 8,487. Month-on-month, sales achieved for Lexus in March is at 101 units, while for the previous month sales were at 66 units. While Toyota achieved 8,386 units sold as compared with 6,366 in February, translating to 32% of increase in units sold.
