UMW Toyota Heading Upwards For Second Half of 2022

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMW Toyota Motor) has just reported a sharp increase in sales for the month of June with Toyota selling 8,870 units and Lexus selling 69 units.
This puts the total number of sales at 8,939 units and showed a positive increase from the month before where Toyota sold 7,442 units and Lexus sold 137 units which accounts for a total of 7,579 units.
UMW Toyota Motor recorded a total year-to-date sales for June 2022 of 45,911 units inclusive of all Toyota and Lexus models, outpacing their year-to-date sales for June last year where only 34,111 units were registered.
This shows a 35 percent increase from last year.
While the recent announcement of the SST exemption is expected to slightly hinder sales for a while, the early signs of recovery of the global shortage of semiconductors and microchips provides some hope that the dip in sales might be countered.
Should the shortage be overcome, production would pick up and with the advent of newer, more revolutionary models equipped with the most cutting-edge technology, buyers will have no shortage of options or satisfaction.
