Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Life Price Drops By RM13K To RM159,990
The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Life is now priced a little better.
Back in August, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia announced a new base model of the Tiguan Allspace – the Life variant. Despite cutting down on equipment, the pricing of the Tiguan Allspace Life was not particularly low at RM172,990. From what we could gather, it was an RM7,000 price difference from the Tiguan Allspace Elegance. And for those savings, these were the compromises:
- “Horizon Black” instead of “Barrel Craft” decorative inlays for dashboard and front door cards
- Deletion of 30-colour interior ambient lighting system
- Deletion of illuminated front door scuff plates
- Fabric door and side trim upholstery instead of leatherette material
- “Life” fabric seat upholstery instead of leather with perforated inserts
- Deletion of electric height, lumbar adjustment to front seats
- Deletion of Active Climate function for front seats
We also noticed that Electric power seat adjustment, paddle shifters and the Easy Open & Close electric tailgate functions weren’t listed, but we’re not sure if they were completely omitted or not.
Today, the Allspace Life has been given a revised price of RM159,990. This is an additional price cut of RM13,000, which makes it a more reasonable package overall. The new price is applicable for deliveries from January 2023 onwards. How Volkswagen managed to cut such a huge amount from the price tag has not been disclosed.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) today announced a price adjustment for the Tiguan Allspace Life, which sees the SUV now retailing from RM159,990.
The price adjustment takes place with immediate effect and is applicable for deliveries from January 2023 onwards.
As the entry-level model of the series, the Life is packed with the right features to make it a modern SUV. Its virtues as a space giant remain unchanged, with seven-seat configurations that offer up to 1,775 litre of class-leading boot space.
Visually, the Life shares the same sharp and dynamic look as its siblings, including a sleeker front grille with the signature Volkswagen illuminated light strip between full LED headlamps.
Under the hood, the Life is powered by a 1.4TSI turbocharged engine that is paired with 6-speed DSG to produce 150PS and 250Nm of torque. This combination ensures a pleasurable driving experience whilst providing an efficient fuel consumption of approximately 7.7l/100km.
The Tiguan Allspace Life is supported with three years free maintenance, five years unlimited mileage warranty and five years roadside assistance.
