Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has just announced the arrival of their latest contender in Malaysia’s vibrant B-segment SUV market – the Hyundai Creta. With a stunning combination of contemporary design, connected technology, and comprehensive active safety features, the Hyundai Creta is set to attract the young and young-at-heart with its boldness and individuality.

HSDM’s Managing Director, Mr Low Yuan Lung, said, “Optimised for the Asia-Pacific market, this B-segment SUV also offers the practicality, space and convenience to suit active lifestyles.”

The Hyundai Creta boasts a unique Parametric Jewel front end design that features ‘hidden’ LED daytime running lights within the prominent grille, creating a stunning visual signature that is unmistakably on-trend. The bumper-mounted LED projector headlamps combine with the daytime running lights to enhance its bold and individual look.

The interior of the Hyundai Creta is equipped with a host of technological features that enhance comfort, convenience, and drivability. It features a 10.25-inch TFT LCD cluster, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and four selectable drive modes that emphasise the versatility of the Creta’s character.

The Hyundai Creta comes standard with six airbags and a comprehensive Hyundai SmartSense suite of active safety features, including Forward and Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning and High Beam Assist. These features have earned the Creta a full five-star New Car Assessment Programme for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) safety rating.

Sime Darby Motors’ Managing Director of Retail and Distribution for Malaysia, Mr Jeffrey Gan, said, “With so much practicality and space contained within a compact footprint, it’s not difficult to see why SUVs continue to rise in popularity, both globally and in Malaysia. The Hyundai Creta illustrates this perfectly, and we look forward to giving Malaysians more choices in the realm of SUVs upon its introduction, which is just around the corner!”

It is likely that the Hyundai Creta will arrive with the 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a CVT automatic (known as the IVT under Hyundai branding). The engine produces 115PS and 144Nm of torque. The Creta is expected to arrive with a low 6-figure price tag. The Creta will be available in Malaysia in Galaxy Blue Pearl, Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Gray Metallic, Creamy White Pearl, and Dragon Red Pearl. The only interior option is black.

Customers can place their orders for the Hyundai Creta at all authorised sales outlets nationwide or through the brand’s online booking platform, Cl!cktoBuy, at https://www.hyundai.com.my/clicktobuy/. With its stylish design, advanced technology and safety features, the Hyundai Creta is set to make a strong impression in Malaysia’s B-segment SUV market.
