See why the new BMW S 1000 RR sets the bar for superbikes in Malaysia

BMW Motorrad Malaysia today unveiled the highly-anticipated New BMW S 1000 RR, which introduces an array of exhilarating enhancements that reaffirms its position as the superlative Superbike.

Hans De Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia said, “With the introduction of the New BMW S 1000 RR, we mark yet another thrilling milestone in BMW Motorrad’s rich legacy of engineering sporty, dynamic motorcycles.

Intrinsically tied to the racetrack, every aspect of this superbike has been precisely designed with the clear goal of getting the most out of each lap, making it a natural favourite for riders with a penchant for pursuing pure, exhilarating performance.”

Moreover, the chassis of the New BMW S 1000 RR is welded in an aluminium bridge frame which integrates the engine in a 32-degree incline forward, similar to its predecessor.

With the aim of optimising flexibility laterally, the main frame of the New BMW S 1000 RR has been enhanced with several openings in the side areas.

The steering head angle has also been flattened out by 0.5° and this results in better riding precision and increased accuracy as well as clearer feedback from the front wheel. The  front and rear sections, as well as the winglet of the BMW S 1000 RR have also been redesigned to increase the aerodynamic performance and sportiness of the Motorbike.

On top of that, at the heart of the New BMW S 1000 RR is a four-cylinder engine that has been refined and now makes 210hp power, a 3hp increase over its predecessor, while maximum torque is now 113Nm. Alongside the updated performance are innovations that ensure greater control for riders.

These new BMW S 1000 RR features include the new Slide Control function in the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), which assists the rider when accelerating out of a bend. It comes with two available preset drift angles for the traction control system, both utilising an advanced steering angle sensor to reduce slip and stabilise the motorcycle during leaning.

Another notable innovation is the new Brake Slide Assist, part of the standard ABS Pro. Based also on steering sensor technology, this new function allows the rider to set at a pre-determine drift angle, or so-called braking drifts, while sliding into corners at a maintained speed. Additionally, the New BMW S 1000 RR is equipped with four riding modes – “Rain”, “Road”, “Dynamic” and “Race”.

With the Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, ownership of the New BMW S 1000 RR starts from RM1,578.00 per month (Style Passion, based on the Balloon Financing estimates of an 80 percent loan on a 4-year tenure).

Owners can also enjoy additional benefits with the Industry-Leading Premium Engine Oil Inclusive, Service Inclusive and Warranty Extension Programmes by BMW Motorrad Malaysia.
