Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC & A45 S 4MATIC+ Facelift Now In Malaysia
The facelifted Mercedes-AMG A35 and A45 S are now in Malaysia and ready to rock.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today launched the facelifted A-Class range of vehicles including the high-performance AMG A35 4MATIC Sedan and AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ Hatchback. Click here to read about the standard models.
These AMG models come with a revised look featuring an AMG-specific radiator grille, new round badge with the AMG emblem instead of the 3-pointed star, new 19″ wheel designs, rear spoiler lip, lights. Both models come with red-painted brake calipers and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus. Inside, both models come as standard with Artico man-made leather and Microcut AMG upholstery, aluminium AMG Design trim elements in black and silver, red seat belts, AMG floor mats, 64-colour ambient lighting, and AMG illuminated door sills. The same improvements to MBUX have been made but with AMG designs. USB ports too come with the same upgrades as the rest of the A-Class range. The AMG vehicles enjoy Burmester surround sound.
Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC (Sedan)
Starting with the A35 4MATIC sedan. This has the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo tuned to 306hp and 400Nm of torque, plus it’s also now a mild hybrid as there’s an electric motor here with an output of 10kW and 250Nm of torque. This model has also been updated with an 8-speed AMG Speedshift DCT automatic. 0-100km/h takes just 4.8 seconds in this model.
The AMG A35 4MATIC comes with the same new front apron as the A45 this time around. The wheels are 19″ 5-twin spoke light alloys. Inside is a nappa leather wrapped AMG Performance steering wheel with AMG-specific buttons for Dynamic Select. Sport seats are standard on the A35.
Pricing is estimated to be from RM354,000 with local assembly expected.
Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ (Hatchback)
At the pinnacle of the A-Class family is the A45 S 4MATIC+. This model comes with the ultimate production 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with an outstanding output of 421hp and 500Nm of torque. The same 8-speed AMG Speedshift DCT is present here with the 4MATIC+ system. 0-100km/h takes just 3.9 seconds on this model.
The A45 S comes with a lot of exclusive equipment, including the AMG Real Performance Sound, AMG Track Pace, twin-flow exhaust pipes, and 19″ AMG 5-twin spoke light alloy aero-optimised wheels in matt black high-sheen rim flange. There’s also the AMG Night Package, which features high-gloss black trim pieces, as well as the AMG Aerodynamics package, bundling in aero-optimised exterior bits. The AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ also comes with a panoramic sliding sunroof. Inside, you’ll find a new version of the AMG steering wheel that’s wrapped in nappa leather and Microcut microfibre with AMD Dynamic Select buttons. This car comes with the multicontour seat package and AMG Performance Seat Package Advanced.
Finally, the AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ can also be optioned with the AMG Street Style Edition package for a limited time. This model is finished in Manufactur Mountain Grey Magno with edition-specific foiling with colour gradient in black/anthracite matt, plus flourescent orange colour accents. 19″ AMG cross-spoke forged wheels are included. A unique AMG-specific darkened radiator grille and high-gloss black badges. Inside, you’ll find Artico and Microcut upholstery in AMG Black with orange contrast topstitching. Street Style edition aluminium elevates the look of the cabin and there are orange labels on the headrests and orange labels on the floor mats. This edition comes with the AMG Night Package II and AMG fuel filler cap, and all the other bells and whistles of the A45 S 4MATIC+.
All facelifted A-Class models come with design tweaks including a redesigned radiator grille, flat headlamps, power bulges on the hood, a new rear diffuser. Standard equipment includes LED taillights, LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, dual freestanding 10.25″ displays, the latest MBUX (NTG7) operating system, new digital interfaces, a revised telematics system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an additional USB-C port, fast-charging on all USB ports, Parking Package with reverse camera, Active Parking Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Exit Warning Assist, Active Brake Assist, and Keyless-Go comfort package. In addition, the interior uses a high proportion of recycled materials to cut down on CO2 emissions per passenger car.
