The performance oriented turbocharged hybrid Lexus RX 500h F Sport is ready to roll
Following the launch of the fifth generation Lexus RX 350 Luxury in May, Lexus Malaysia is now proud to announce the arrival of the 2023 Lexus RX 500h F Sport to Malaysian shores. The new variant serves as another exciting offering that heralds a fresh chapter for the Lexus brand in Malaysia that leads towards green powertrains.
The new hybrid variant of the Lexus RX delivers the flexibility, practicality and off-road capability of an SUV along with the handling, performance, refinement and comfort of a premium sedan with the added benefit of a highly-efficient hybrid powertrain. The new model also breaks new design and technology boundaries to increase the breadth of its capabilities and its appeal.
The Lexus RX 500h builds upon the brand’s long-standing experience in the development of hybrid electric technology. The 2023 Lexus RX 500h F SPORT boasts a new hybrid electric system consisting of a high-torque 2.4-litre turbo engine and electric motor paired with a six-speed automatic transmission making 202 kW of power and 460Nm of torque.
To further enhance its dynamic and sporty feel, the new suspension of the Lexus RX 500h features a Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS) system where the rear wheels steer up to 4-inches either way depending on the speed of the vehicle. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels while at slower speeds, they turn in the opposite direction.
The new Lexus RX 500h also features a 21-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system with Active Sound Control and soft touch leather all over. THe steering wheel is also very soft and the F Sport bucket seats really hold occupants in place. Not to mention the infotainment system which offers a comprehensive and intuitive layout for greater convenience.
In terms of safety, the Lexus RX 500h includes the Lexus Safety System+, which features a suite of safety and pre-collision systems designed to alert drivers and activate preventive measures to avoid accidents in daily driving situations as well as things like a blind spot monitor as well.
For the Malaysian market, Lexus Malaysia is offering the RX 500h F SPORT in a choice of four colours, namely, White Nova Glass, Sonic Iridium, Graphite Black Glass Flake and Sonic Copper.
