Hyundai Stargazer X Launched In The Philippines, Malaysia When?

After all, the Hyundai Stargazer X will have little competition in Malaysia

Right now in Malaysia, there are very few options when it comes to 6 or 7-seater SUVs, we have the local option, which is the Proton X90 as well as the new kid on the block, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, both have their pros and cons but we as Malaysians always want more, so will this Hyundai be just what we are looking for?

Say hello to the Hyundai Stargazer X, which just launched in the Philippines. Will it launch here inn Malaysia too and shake up the market? Well, let’s just say that even if it does launch locally, it is not likely to shake up the market as in terms of price, it will likely cost more than both the other options here.

Moreover, price remains a huge factor when most Malaysians opt to buy a new car, particularly for younger buyers with less lucrative salaries. Still, spec for spec, the Hyundai Stargazer X makes a good case for itself. A Stylish and comfortable interior, versatility, unique exterior and a sensible engine capacity, it’s the whole package.

Measuring 4.495mm in length, 1.815mm in width, 1,710mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,780mm, the Hyundai Stargazer X clearly has enough space to comfortably fit 6 or 7 passengers even on longer trips. Its 1.5-litre inline 4 engine also means it’s not going to cost much in the long run in every way.

While the Hyundai stargazer X is available in two variants in the Philippines, both variants come equipped with this same 1.5-litre engine. Malaysia likely also will only feature this 1.5-litre engine option but we will likely only receive the top spec model instead of 2 separate variants.

On top of that, the Hyundai Stargazer X also comes with a plethora of all the most common modern safety features such as anti collision notification along with Hyundai’s own Starlink for added connectivity ensuring a smoother link between one’s car and their smartphone at all times.

In the Philippines, the Hyundai Stargazer X comes with 4 years or 100,000km warranty and 5 years of free maintenance, in Malaysia, this sadly cannot compete with the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro which has an industry leading 7 years warranty but this will likely not hinder sales as Hyundai has a certain appeal right now.

So what do you guys think? Will Hyundai Bring the Stargazer X here and should they even bother?
