Ford Ranger Platinum Arrives With Loads Of Equipment Additions

The Ford Ranger Platinum adds equipment, a new colour option and much more.

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the exclusive distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has unveiled two exciting new Ford models to the Malaysian market. One of these is the Everest WildTrak and the other is the Ranger Platinum.

The Ranger Platinum boasts a slew of exterior enhancements that set it apart. These include a distinctive grille, first-in-class 20-inch alloy wheels, Platinum hood badging, Silk Chrome trims, and cutting-edge Matrix LED headlamps, making a bold statement. Additionally, a dampened tailgate ensures ease of use, and the ingenious Flexible Rack System is a game-changer. The vehicle is also available in the new exclusive Equinox Bronze paint color, previously reserved for the Everest model.

New Ranger Platinum is designed to cater to various needs, be it work, family, or play. It features Ford’s Flexible Rack System, with a sliding sport bar that can be adjusted to fit longer items.

The roof racks, with swing-in-place roof rails, provide additional storage flexibility, and the clever Flexible Rack System can be operated by one person, locking into five different positions along the length of the load box.

A pop-up crossbar increases the height of the loading platform to match the Swing-in-Place Roof Rails. The Ranger Platinum also comes with a Power Roller Shutter which automatically covers the cargo area with a press of a button.

The New Ranger Platinum is exclusively available in a double cab specification and is powered by Ford’s potent 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine, delivering a remarkable 210 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Its power is efficiently channeled through the Ranger’s electronically controlled part-time four-wheel-drive system, coupled with a cutting-edge 10-speed automatic transmission and an e-Shifter.

The interior of the Ranger Platinum is equally impressive, offering premium appointments like quilted leather accented seats and a state-of-the-art 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. The 12-inch infotainment screen, equipped with the latest SYNC®4A, coupled with B&O speakers, ambient lighting, E-Shifter, and Active Park Assist 2.0, ensure a comfortable and connected driving experience. Notably, the front seats are heated and ventilated, with a 10-way power adjust and memory function for the driver, adding to the opulence.
