Mini Clubman Final Edition Now In Malaysia

The MINI Clubman Final Edition has arrived in Malaysia, but in very limited numbers.

The MINI brand is moving to all-electric and this will be the biggest transformation for the brand in 20 years – ever since BMW Group acquired it and brought it into the 21st century. The next generation of MINI products – the Cooper and Countryman – are both EV-only and ready for a global rollout. One product that may be on the chopping block during this transition to electric is the Clubman. So far, there is no indication that a next-generation model is in development. So it’s fitting that BMW Malaysia brought in a handful of the Clubman Final Edition models as a proper send-off for this off-kilter body style.

The MINI Clubman Final Edition

The MINI family is a pretty large one and each model serves its purpose. The Cooper is available as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback for those looking for an urban runabout. There’s also a 2-door convertible with more style. There’s the Countryman, which is a crossover SUV with a lot more practicality and space thanks to shared DNA with the BMW X1. And then there’s the Clubman – the station wagon with a split tailgate and strange proportions.

The Clubman has always been the most standout model in of the lot. Only 1,969 units of the Final Edition are available and this number corresponds to the birth year of the Clubman. Malaysia will only receive 20 of these units.

The Final Edition comes with Shimmer Copper accents on the front bumper, front grille, “Cooper S” blade on the sides, high-gloss side scuttles on the front fender, Piano Black design accents on the headlamps, door handles, and exhaust tip. The Clubman Final Edition also gets 18″ light alloy wheels in the Final Edition Spoke 2 tone graphic pattern also in Shimer Cooper. There’s a little “1 of 1969” badge on the C-pillar and a glistening “Final Edition” on the rear.

Inside, there are also a few “Final Edition” emblems, this time on the bottom spoke of the steering wheel and door sills. There are velour floor mats with the “1 of 1969” badges on them. The leather upholstery is Dark Maroon in colour and it comes with MINI Yours sport-inspired pique fabric with contrast stitching and piping. Final Edition lasered rivets in either Shimmer Copper or Enigmatic Black are also a feature on this model.

The MINI Clubman Final Edition will be available in three road-commanding colours – Nanuq White, Melting Silver III and Enigmatic Black. It is priced at RM 318,888.00 (retail price with SST on-the-road without insurance).
