0The Last “Standard” Bugatti Chiron Has Been Built And Is Heading To Canada
This final Bugatti Chiron is also a more understated version of the hypercar
French automaker, Bugatti, has just completed production of the standard Chiron and while the final example of this hypercar isn’t one of the most flamboyant we’ve seen, it is incredibly refined and in the decades to come, could prove to be one of the most valuable Chirons out there.
This particular Bugatti Chiron was configured and customized through the Sur Mesure program for a customer in Canada. The base color is a shade of black dubbed Nocturne that has been contrasted with a selection of copper accents. Unlike some of the flashier colours chosen, this one is far more understated.
Moreover, the copper-colored accents can be found across the front fascia, the signature Bugatti Chiron C-line and the central fin running over the engine cover and decklid as well. This not only adds some colour to an otherwise monotonous looking car but also gives the hypercar slightly more presence on the road as well.
Additionally, this Bugatti Chiron has also been equipped with a set of black wheels with copper accents. The badges also have this striking color as does the engine. The French carmaker hasn’t shared any images of the Chiron’s interior but it is safe to assume the inside also continues the black and copper theme.
Bugatti introduced the Chiron back in 2016 as the successor to the Veyron, confirming that just 500 units would be produced. However, that 500 run of models includes subsequent versions of the Chiron, including the Chiron Sport, Pur Sport, and Super Sport, so it’s not clear precisely how many examples of the ‘standard’ Chiron have been built.
On top of that, with so many special editions, the Bugatti Chiron is now much more common than many would assume if we count all its versions. This makes versions like this “final” model far more valuable in the used market as it will surely stand out more over time.
At the heart of the Bugatti Chiron is the brand’s 8 litre quad-turbocharged W16 making 1,479hp and 1,600Nm of torque in this specification. A potent engine on its own, it is made much better as a whole in tandem with all other systems in the car.
Working alongside this incredible engine is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels, allowing the Bugatti Chiron a century sprint time of just 2.4 seconds, and reaching 200km/h in 6.5 seconds and 300km/h in 13.6 seconds.
