PRO-NET Expands Charging Network To Meet Surging Demand For NEVs
PRO-NET already has 36 charging bays across 9 states and it isn’t stopping there
PRO-NET expands its charging infrastructure network in response to the increasing demand for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in Malaysia. Its mission is clear, to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and to ensure convenient travel for EV owners by providing seamless access to fast and efficient charging solutions across the country.
Since the successful introduction of the Proton DC Charger at its headquarters last October, PRO-NET has been actively expanding its charging infrastructure at Proton Edar Dealerships in collaboration with the brand’s partner Gentari. So far the brand has deployed 6 DC Chargers, offering a total of 12 charging bays equipped with two nozzles each.
Moreover, the expansion represents a significant enhancement to our existing smart dealership network, which is focused on delivering comprehensive charging solutions to EV users across Peninsular Malaysia. With the recent installation of 5 DC chargers and thirteen 13 AC Chargers, the brand’s network now boasts a total of 22 charging bays.
Looking ahead, PRO-NET is set to further expand its footprint in the East, with plans underway to introduce additional charging infrastructure in Sabah as part of our dealership expansion efforts.
The Hello smart App, an innovative offering from PRO-NET, plays a pivotal role in enhancing accessibility to charging stations. This app integrates seamlessly with users’ digital lifestyle, providing real-time updates on charging point availability and locations.
Through strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as chargEV, JomCharge, and Gentari, over 70 Percent of public charging points are now accessible through the Hello smart App. Users can easily access this charging map from Proton Edar and Smart Malaysia dealerships, reinforcing our commitment to convenience and accessibility for EV drivers.
In line with our Global Sustainability Strategy, PRO-NET welcomes owners of various EV brands to utilise its charging facilities. However, it is important to note that access to chargers at the Hap Seng dealer is currently reserved for smart and Mercedes-Benz owners only. Still, this is a very good step towards realistic EV charging infrastructure fulfilment.
