Mini owners in Malaysia have shown off their fun and adventurous side with Mini Day

Malaysia Mini Day, a much-anticipated event organised by the Mini Pattern Group, a passionate club of Mini owners, united enthusiasts for an exhilarating weekend at Resorts World Awana’s Open Car Park in Genting Highlands.

Held over the weekend, the event set a new record for the largest gathering of Minis in Malaysia, with 513 Minis registered by 11:30 AM on 27 October, eventually reaching a remarkable total of 543 by the event’s conclusion. This impressive turnout highlighted the vibrant spirit of camaraderie known as “Big Love” within the Mini community.

Moreover, the festivities began on 26 October with a celebratory dinner honouring the 10th anniversary of the Mini Pattern Group, reflecting on the incredible journey of the Mini community over the years. The following day, participants transformed the venue into a lively festival ground filled with Minis, amplifying the excitement of the event.

A key highlight was the Mini test drive, where attendees could experience the agility and signature go-kart feel of the latest Mini Electric models. Collaborating with Millennium Welt, the event featured popular models such as the Mini Cooper 3-Door, the Mini Countryman, and the New Mini Aceman.

On top of that, competitions added to the day’s excitement, allowing Mini enthusiasts, affectionately known as Miniacs, to showcase their vehicles. Categories included the best Modern Mini, the best Classic Mini, and the Best Rocker Cover, where participants creatively transformed engine oil covers into artistic representations of Mini cars.

This interactive competition encouraged a playful spirit among attendees. Another crowd favourite was the Car Boot Sale, where Mini owners displayed their cherished vehicles alongside a variety of food, memorabilia, and handmade crafts for sale. This vibrant marketplace not only showcased the love for Mini but also fostered connections among attendees, further strengthening the community.

As the day drew to a close, a celebratory atmosphere enveloped the event, reflecting the camaraderie and passion shared by all participants. Malaysia Mini Day was not just a gathering of cars, it was a celebration of friendship, creativity, and a shared love for the iconic brand. The successful event left attendees with unforgettable memories, marking a significant milestone for the Mini Pattern Group and the entire Mini community.
