Nissan Named ‘Most Dependable’ In J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study

The Nissan Murano and Kicks were named most dependable in the U.S

Nissan continues to earn recognition for its commitment to vehicle quality and customer satisfaction, with two of its models, the Nissan Kicks and Nissan Murano, taking top honors in the 2025 J.D. Power U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). The Nissan Kicks was awarded the title of Most Dependable Small SUV, while the Nissan Murano claimed the title of Most Dependable Midsize SUV, both for the 2022 model year.

Vinay Shahani, Nissan Senior VP of U.S. Marketing and Sales, expressed pride in the recognition, stating, “The Nissan Kicks and Murano winning Most Dependable Small and Midsize SUVs highlights our commitment to putting quality, durability, reliability, and safety at the heart of everything we do. We produce vehicles that our customers can depend on and enjoy for years to come.”

Moreover, the J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, now in its 36th year, surveys owners of 3-year-old vehicles across 184 potential problem areas spanning nine categories. These categories include infotainment, features, controls and displays, exterior, driving assistance, interior, powertrain, seats, driving experience, and climate.

Both the 2022 Nissan Kicks and Nissan Murano outperformed their respective segment averages in these areas, underlining their exceptional reliability. The all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks, introduced in 2024, delivers an exciting combination of street-smart design, advanced technology, and a versatile interior.

This model also boasts best-in-class standard ground clearance, ensuring a smooth and confident driving experience. The 2025 Kicks introduces innovative features such as available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive for enhanced traction and available ProPILOT Assist for smoother highway driving.

On top of that, these updates enhance both the vehicle’s capability and safety, making it an ideal choice for small SUV enthusiasts. Similarly, the 2025 Nissan Murano, launched in late 2024, presents a bold new design paired with premium features for a superior driving experience. The Murano is equipped with a powerful 241-horsepower, 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine that provides impressive performance.

Drivers will appreciate the vehicle’s seamless connectivity, with available Google Built-In integration, as well as the new Invisible Hood View, a cutting-edge driver-assistance technology. The Murano also features standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 to enhance driver confidence.

This recognition from J.D. Power reinforces Nissan’s ongoing dedication to producing reliable, high-quality vehicles that customers can trust.
