The De Tomaso P72 is now fully in the flesh, is it for you?
First unveiled as a concept in 2019, the De Tomaso P72 has now been brought to life in full production specification. Limited to just 72 individually commissioned examples, the P72 represents a bold return to the fundamental principles of timeless automotive design, mechanical purity, emotional aesthetics and uncompromising craftsmanship.

At the core of the P72 lies the tantalising De Tomaso V8 engine, hand-built using forged internal components to ensure exceptional durability and performance. Paired with a bespoke supercharger, the engine makes an astounding 700hp and 820Nm of torque.
Moreover, unlike many modern performance cars tuned strictly for speed and lap times, the P72 is engineered for a more connected, emotive driving experience, prioritising rhythm, response, and the raw feeling of the road. Beneath its elegant exterior is a state-of-the-art carbon fibre chassis, including both front and rear subframes.

At the heart of this De Tomaso structure is a monocoque crafted from a single, seamless piece of carbon fibre, an extraordinary engineering feat that provides unparalleled rigidity, balance and driving harmony. The result is a chassis that not only supports high performance but also imbues the car with soul and presence.
Visually, the P72 is also cloaked in a 4×4 twill weave carbon fibre body, expertly finished in Avorio Rosa, a refined hue that captures both warmth and sophistication. Every surface and curve has been sculpted to evoke classic design cues while remaining entirely modern in execution.

On top of that, on the inside, the philosophy of analogue purity continues. The cabin is free from digital screens and distractions, instead featuring hand-crafted analogue instruments and tactile controls. The centrepiece is the exposed linkage shifter, beautifully mechanical and deeply engaging, connecting this De Tomaso with its driver.
Every detail of the P72’s interior and exterior has been treated as a work of art. Milled aluminium components, each hand-brushed and finished in Rose Gold, are present throughout. These elements are not only functional but serve as a tribute to artisanal craftsmanship, where the human touch defines luxury more than technology ever could.

The De Tomaso P72 is more than a car, it is a statement of intent. It does not follow fleeting trends. It is designed to be felt, admired and remembered. This is automotive passion, fully realised. So what do you think of it?
