Together, PRO-NET and Shell will make charging easier for all Malaysians
Shell Recharge has partnered with PRO-NET, a subsidiary of Proton, to simplify EV charging for Malaysian drivers. This collaboration enables drivers of PROTON e.MAS and smart EVs to locate and pay for charging at Shell Recharge stations across the country using the PROTON e.MAS and Hello smart mobile apps.
This move represents a major step toward delivering a seamless and integrated EV charging experience, aligning with the Malaysian government’s goal of developing a unified and accessible EV ecosystem. Shell has been steadily expanding its public EV charging network nationwide.
Moreover, this includes the recent launch of the High-Performance Charging (HPC) corridor connecting the East and West Coasts of Peninsular Malaysia. This reflects Shell’s commitment to building a more connected and inclusive EV infrastructure through strategic collaborations that support the broader push for increased EV adoption.
“Convenience is essential to accelerate EV adoption,” said Seow Lee Ming, General Manager, Mobility & Convenience at Shell Malaysia. “This partnership with PRO-NET allows us to deliver intuitive and accessible charging solutions. By making Shell Recharge stations available on PRO-NET digital platforms, we’re providing drivers more ways to find, navigate to, and pay for EV charging.”
On top of that, Seow added that Shell looks forward to working with like-minded partners to invest in smart EV technologies and deliver more than just charging services, offering added value and ease of use. This will definitely go a long way considering the EV charging infrastructure here is severely lackkng.

This collaboration with Shell Recharge is a key step in realizing that vision. Our Integrated Live Charging Map, accessible in-vehicle and via our mobile apps, now offers over 2,500 charging points nationwide, helping to eliminate range anxiety for our customers.”
To celebrate the launch, Shell Recharge is offering special promotions for Proton e.MAS and smart EV drivers. From 26 May to 9 June 2025, users of the PROTON e.MAS and Hello smart apps will receive a 30 percent discount at Shell’s HPC stations and a 10 percent discount at other Shell Recharge locations when paying through the apps.
