Rumors are shared with us every now and then and we take the precaution to check if they are true or not. Most of the time, it is true and there are some just created to ‘stir news’ in the business community.

In the past month we have heard ‘rumblings’ in the Malaysian two-wheel industry that long time DUCATI motorcycles brand guardian, NEXT Bike Sdn Bhd will be losing their guardianship of DUCATI to motorcycle powerhouse, Telagamas with the the ‘Didi Resources’ team as the new brand guardian for DUCATI Motorcycles in Malaysia.

Right now, Telagamas is the authorized dealer for Harley Davidson, Royal Enfield, Vespa, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Triumph in Malaysia.

DUCATI Malaysia headquarters right now is located at Lot 3, Jalan 51A/221, Seksyen 51a, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor right now.

Did you know that just 6 months ago Ducati Malaysia marked a significant milestone with the simultaneous unveiling of its newly revamped Sungai Buloh showroom and the highly anticipated all-new Panigale V4.

The October 30, 2024 launch event was graced by Ducati MotoGP star Enea Bastianini, showcased the Italian manufacturer’s commitment to excellence in both retail experience and motorcycle engineering.

Also, it September 2024 Next Bike and Ducati announced the grand opening of its latest dealership in Johor Bahru, located at No.9 Jalan Permas 9/17, Masai Johor, right next to Aeon Permas Jaya and with excellent visibility from the EDL Highway. Interestingly, the opening event was graced by Marco Biondi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ducati Asia Pacific, and Hafizh Syahrin, a renowned local motorsport champion who rides for the JDT Racing Team.

With a substantial investment of RM3.5 million, this dealership has been designed to deliver a premium customer experience, reflecting Ducati’s latest brand identity.

So, what happened in the last 5 months for Ducati to make this move?
